A distribution cabinet is a crucial piece of equipment in a power system, used to distribute electrical energy, control circuit switching, and protect circuits. Its functions can be further divided into the following aspects:
1. Energy Distribution: The distribution cabinet, through internally installed circuit breakers, disconnect switches, and other components, distributes input electrical energy to various branches or devices according to a preset distribution scheme, ensuring accurate and stable delivery of electrical energy to the target location.
2. Circuit Control: The distribution cabinet has the capability to manually or automatically control circuit switching. Through the switches on the operation panel or a remote control system, circuits can be opened, closed, and switched, thereby flexibly controlling the operating status of electrical equipment.
3. Short Circuit and Overload Protection: When a short circuit or overload occurs in the circuit, the protective devices inside the distribution cabinet (such as fuses and circuit breakers) will quickly activate, cutting off the faulty circuit and preventing equipment damage and fire accidents. This automatic protection function greatly improves the safety and reliability of the power system.
4. Monitoring and Display Functions: Modern distribution cabinets are typically equipped with monitoring instruments such as voltmeters and ammeters, which can display circuit parameters such as voltage and current in real time, helping operators to understand the circuit's operating status promptly. Additionally, some advanced distribution cabinets support remote monitoring and alarm functions, enabling remote monitoring of circuit operation and fault early warning.
5. Compensation and Regulation Functions: To address reactive power issues in power systems, reactive power compensation devices (such as capacitor banks) can be installed inside the distribution cabinet. By automatically or manually adjusting the connection and disconnection of capacitors, reactive power can be compensated and regulated, improving the power factor and operating efficiency of the power system. We currently have such products in stock. Our distribution cabinets feature automatic protection, a rated current of 500A, and an IP30 enclosure protection rating, among other advantages.
