Draw-out Switchgear

The KYN28 high-voltage switchgear consists of two main parts: a fixed cabinet body and a removable draw-out handcart. The enclosure and internal partitions are made of aluzinc-coated steel plates, assembled using a bolted structure for high mechanical strength.
The external enclosure provides a protection level of IP4X. Between compartments and when the circuit breaker door is open, the protection level is IP2X, effectively preventing the ingress of foreign objects.
This draw-out switchgear is compatible with various vacuum circuit breaker handcarts, including VS1, ZN12V, and VD4 models. It can also be equipped with ABB VC series vacuum contactors, offering flexible configuration options.

The cabinets can be installed in a back-to-back arrangement, and all installation and maintenance operations can be performed from the front. This allows the switchgear to be placed against a wall, significantly reducing floor space requirements.
Alternatively, space can be reserved for dual-side access if required. The internal structure can be configured accordingly to suit different installation needs.
The cabinet dimensions are as follows: height 2300 mm; width 800 mm for rated currents up to 1600 A, and 1000 mm for higher ratings; depth 1500 mm for cable entry/exit, and 1000 mm for overhead line connections. The total weight ranges from 800 to 1200 kg.

The handcart operates in three positions: isolation, test, and service (working) position. Each position is equipped with a mechanical interlock, ensuring safe and controlled operation. Movement of the handcart is only possible after unlocking the mechanism.
The switchgear is equipped with pressure relief devices located above the handcart compartment, busbar compartment, and cable compartment. In the event of an internal fault, the pressure relief panels will open automatically to release hot gases, enhancing operator safety.
The middle door is designed with a reinforced lifting mechanism to withstand internal arc faults.
